Workshops with Grandmaster Lin Yun have taken Marina all over the county - and the world – Shelley Sparks of Harmony Gardens - an excellent feng shui teacher-consultant, landscape designer and friend to feng shui shopper - took this photo on a fabulous fun day trip before class. Here is Marina at the entrance of Pike Place Market with a giant bronze sow, symbolic of prosperity and abundance, after a large group of tourists rubbed its head to receive it’s auspicious good fortune, Marina rushed over to get some good luck too!*

*Interesting note: over door of original Starbuck’s (founded at Pike’s Place Market) there is a life size boar, Symbol of ambulance and prosperity. Starbuck’s was founded in 1971 - the year of the boar. We should all have such a successful enterprise!

H.E. Menri Ponlob Trinley Nyima Rinpoche, principal of the Dialectic School of Yungdrung Bon Menri Monastery, was the guest at this event. The event was hosted by Mr. & Mrs. Allen and Nancy Tong. An incredible, gifted and generous, enlightened teacher in the Bon Tradition, I recommend if you ever have a chance to study with him, jump at the opportunity.

H.H. Grandmaster Lin-Yun and Rev. Crystal Chu led a tour group of disciples, students and friends to China. They visited Beijing, Xian, Kunming, Lijiang, Shanghai, Suzchon and Putuo Shan.

It was an unbelievable experience. I thought I was in a movie. Being a part of the procession walking up the hill to the temple with Tibetan horns sounding, prayer flags waving, incense burning, and the native people lined up in traditional dress offering white silk blessing scarves while chanting and singing mantras. We followed Professor and proceeded up to the temple. I met the abbot (center), a man known as a living Buddha, Zhong ba. He is originally from Tibet. He is an incredible, "light" being. This warm reception was given by Zhong ba to honor Master Lin Yun. He had heard of all the work Professor has done in the world and his work with Tibetan Bon Buddhist tradition. What a treasure and blessing to be there! And what a door to have opened by Master Lin. Thank you, Professor!
