Your Element Matters

In Chinese astrology, each zodiac animal is also shaped by a Five-Element birth year:
Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, or Water.
This means not all Horses — or any sign — will experience the Fire Horse year in the same way.
| Birth Year Ends In | Element |
|---|---|
| 0 or 1 | Metal |
| 2 or 3 | Water |
| 4 or 5 | Wood |
| 6 or 7 | Fire |
| 8 or 9 | Earth |
Here’s how each element may feel in 2026:
- Wood Signs (Wood Horse, Wood Rat, etc.)
Fire feeds on wood — which means your creativity and drive may ignite quickly, but you can burn out if you take on too much.
→ Focus on pacing, boundaries, and rest. - Fire Signs
Fire + Fire can create brilliance or burnout. Emotions and ambitions intensify, and relationships may heat up — for better or worse.
→ Channel passion into meaningful goals, avoid impulsive conflict. - Earth Signs
Fire can dry Earth, pushing you to hold structure and stability while things change rapidly around you.
→ Trust timing, don’t try to control every outcome. - Metal Signs
Fire shapes Metal — tension can bring breakthroughs or pressure. Expect transformation and the need to refine habits or identity.
→ Lean into improvement rather than resistance. - Water Signs
Water can extinguish Fire, leaving you feeling misunderstood or “out of sync.” But Water also guides and cools, helping others stay balanced through the year.
→ Your calm leadership and intuition are a gift.
